A Puppy that was interested in chasing my horses…
Well NOW …I do!
KAT went into the field with the horses and took a good hard run at them …At the last minute she decided they were way to big to do anything with…Turned and sat down and watched them…Then came when I called her. ( I let her sit and watch and think) She did not disturb the horses with her foolishness…But I knew if I yelled at her she might not be thinking and make a fatal mistake. (my horses are shod all way round) and a good solid kick could be a real bad thing. I was afraid if I said anything by the time she heard me and stopped it would be too late…(My horses are kind to foolish pups but will wait for the right opportunity to land a good solid kick)
I watched and knew KAT would do this again …I picked up an empty metal coffee can and waited quietly. Sure enough Off she went and I threw the can bouncing and clanging on the ground near her (I could not hit the broad side of a barn) This stopped KAT and she wondered what just happened…Looked at Tuff and said how did you do that? I never said a word…
Then I picked up the can and sat with KAT at the fence and Tuff visited us and KAT got to be up close and personal with Tuff.
I made sure she behaved …and KAT was afraid but had to stay with me and soon relaxed.
I will have to do this several more times… But KAT is smart and understands… Pink Kicking Chickens and now Magic Coffee Can Throwing Horses…
This will pass!!!
