Still no name…It will come…

Today I was worming sheep and docking tails.

My Puppy is very strong and interested in helping me. She wants to be by my side.

She wants to move the sheep and can…She is not fearful at all…

So I structured the work so that the pup could watch ….I tied her to the fence within 5 feet of the pen I was working in. She sat and watched .

Then when I finished the work I untied her and allowed her to help move the sheep out of the pen. I took her by the collar and led her in up against the fence on the come bye side. (because of the direction the gate opened.) Then as the sheep exited and went down the lane I allowed the puppy to follow and then at the gate at the end of the lane I tied her…and told her to sit and stay. I then opened the gate to the field and had Drover walk up and move the sheep to the arena for holding till we finished all our work.

I came back and took the pup to the next pen.

All the time careful to keep her safe. But the sheep wanted nothing to do with her …A couple old ewes stomped and charged at her but she nipped them quickly on the nose! “Good Girl” That will do!
