I allow my young puppies to go with me about the farm. I start this at 4 weeks on the gator in a crate. When we get to where we are going depending on where and what we are doing…I allow the puppies the freedom to explore on their own. (All ways Momma Abilene has her watchful eyes on the pups. If they are in danger I put them back in the crate where they can watch what I am doing.

They are 9 weeks old and there are three puppies still here (2 are waiting for their owners to pick them up both are going out of state)  Then my puppy (still with no name) …

This afternoon we had to put lambs and Ewes in the barn (cold wet rain)  demanded it!  My puppy some how got out of her X pen and came and assisted her daddy Drover in the herding work. But she made a very wise decision…30 plus head of difficult ewes  going where they pleased in search of fresh tender green grass…sent her back to the carport where she watched and learned!

This pup was uncomfortable and took herself out of the discomfort!  Then watched! Smart ! Sharp puppy! She was not afraid just not sure what she should be doing!

The other two pups sat and watched too!
