Breeder Comments:   Breeding for temperament, soundness, herding. While the English Shepherd is a herding breed I consider temperament and soundness essential to the job of herding. Also in my area most dogs are family pets who may compete in various dog sports. Temperament and soundness are again the basis for a good dog whatever its life style and/or job.
