Back history to the letter below: John Simpson was Mark Winstead’s great grandfather and was in some way related to John Blankenship. According to Mark, John Simpson bought an ES from the Blankenship’s after he received this letter and information, and that was the first ES in his family.
Mark’s grandfather, Houston Simpson, gave Mark his first English Shepherd when he was around 1 or 2 years old. This pup also came from the Blankenship’s and Mark named him “Bo Bo.” Later, when Mark and his wife were married, they were given another ES. This time, a female they named Douchess — also from the Blankenship’s. Douchess died around 2005. Interestingly, their current male ES named Simpson came from ‘Blankenships English Shepherds,’ but they are in no relation to the John Blankenship’s.
